Tattered Tulip InstagramYou may have heard on my Instagram stories that I am so old that I remember when Tattered Tulip opened in Lockport in the 90s (well, Wrights Corners if ya wanna get technical!). My Mom loved going there and I still can remember certain things she bought for our house. Back then of course it was a different vibe and if you fast forward to the now- it's literally all of your home decor dreams come true. I connected with owner Lisa and visited during her Fall Fest weekend. It was BUMPIN'. I was so excited to see a place I had grown up going to with my Mom transform in to a real-life Joanna Gaines experience. Recently, Lisa opened a second event center space just a couple minutes down the road filled with even more items and is now staged with everything your heart desires for the holidays. I cannot wait to get there SOON before it is all gone. (darn this back-to-work schedule!) Winter Fest happened recently and the place was packed!

So you're heading 'up north' and I'm here to tell you how to nail your visit to Tattered Tulip.

Get goin' early

If you're coming from south of Lockport, head on up to Tattered Tulip early on. She is open at the barn from 11-5pm everyday and starts at 10am on Saturday. The event center second space is Friday and Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-5. Depending on your route, you may come from the 990 or Transit. If you end up via Campbell Blvd. route, grab a coffee at Craft Coffee House. If you pass through Lockport, get your coffee at Steamworks Coffee

Hit both spots

Tattered Tulip's barn location is located at 4090 Lake Ave. Lockport 14094 (otherwise known as route 78 and if you're super local- an extension of Lockport-Olcott Rd.). There is parking and spaces to shop inside and outside (think old doors and windows you can repurpose). The second and newest event center location is at 3980 Lockport-Olcott Rd. Lockport and is a large space filled with decor, big home items, and has sections set up to give you inspiration and ideas. I felt like I was able to find everything here- wall decor, clocks, table display items, scripted signs, floral stems...it really is a one-stop shop if you want to decorate your home or even just one room. The second floor of the barn has a smaller cute space with baby gifts and items like clothing, blankets, and nursery decor.Need gifts? Wedding shower, new baby, housewarming? Tattered Tulip is going to have all of that for you, too. I was surprised how many gift-like things I saw when I visited. Sometimes it's hard to remember where to go for that good stuff! Shopping here alone, with your mom, friends...it doesn't matter because all of it is going to inspire you. Just talking about it now has me itching to go...

Get a bite to eat

Ok now that your car is packed with goodies, head back toward Lockport and go to the main drag. Some great places you should check out are: Scripts Cafe (now a second space, in Scripts Juice!), Stooges (stuffed burgers!), Molinaro's, or Lock 34 (if you go here, know that this is the exact space Beau & I first met. Magical, I know!). *Remember: Scripts is where you can get those insane Half Baked Cookies we love so much!Other great spots are: New York Beer Project, Steak Stone and Sushi, Village Eatery, Shamus, or order a pizza to take home from Pizza Oven or Lock City Pizza (the Niagara County rivals of best pizza). Got the gals? Visit a couple wineries before you head home like Flight of Five, Spring Lake, Arrowhead, and Freedom Run.

Tattered Tulip is officially on everyone's radar! Get influencer inspo from your favs on Instagram and follow them to see what behind-the-scenes you can get from their visits. This place is well worth the drive from northtowns, downtown, and (yes!) southtowns. Tag us if you visit and show us what you bought! We met a few of you at Fall Fest that heard from us to go visit- so we hope to keep seeing you!

Cannot wait to see everyone's holiday decor!
